About the 25th Anniversary Gathering

Starting at about midday on Friday, Nov. 16, women from across the country will participate in both a rejuvenating annual weekend retreat and a unique opportunity to gather as a community of Black same-gender loving women to embrace all that we are and all we can be.

Along with the usual activities – drumming circles, workshops, dancing and more – you can look forward to beach walks, historical reflections, cycling, hiking, creative and spiritual expression, and the celebration of our connection with the universe, all to the soulful waves of the Pacific Ocean.

With each registration you will receive:

  • Sleeping accommodations in a California registered historical landmark (all rooms include bathroom)
  • Meals during stay
  • NIA conference bag
  • Conference name badge w/ special lanyard
  • Free Wi-Fi Internet

No matter where you’re coming from, it’s easy to get to Asilomar from area highways, as well as numerous airports. The Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY) is just 8 miles from Asilomar, while Mineta San Jose International (SJC) is 80 miles to the North and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is 110 miles to the North. The Monterey Airbus, an airport shuttle service that can bring travelers right to our door, also serves the airports in San Jose and San Francisco.
